Marinaire digital replacment thermostats

Has anyone installed these and how well do they work?

If the answer is yes can someone with little or no knowledge of air conditioning install them?

I can run the rack on the engines and I know where the A/C switch is!

Big difference in price from cruiseair however I am more concerned with operation than price.

I installed one on our 36 Hatteras about 2 years ago. Not too tough. It worked very well. Not good instruction manual. Laat spring we installed a complete new self contained AC unit with its own thermostat. I hsve removed the original digital unit and I am willing to sell the whole package.

I installed the Coastal Climate Control FX1 on my boat and a couple of others. I've probably done 6 or 7 of them. They are not too difficult. CCC has decent instructions and phone support.
