FWIW, I haven't seen any reason to buy a new one (like I did). The higher resolution display has yet to make itself known in any way I can see on any apps that I use. Of course, if you feel Apple could use the extra money to help them stay in business, go ahead and follow my example!

I have been going back and forth on whether to get the new iPad or save some money and get the previous one. You can see no benefit to getting the new one Mike? Is there anything that seems different on it? You may have made up my mind for me, thanks!

I haven't been able to tell any difference at all but I'm sure if you loaded hi-res pics onto it, you could tell the difference. But none of the apps I use need the higher resolution. In addition to the nav program, InavX, I typically read mail, surf the web a bit though not too much on the iPad, use a couple of music-oriented apps (for tuning and recording), also iTunes and Pages...and Angry Birds! iBooks/Kindle app are probably my most-used apps on a day-to day basis though I use the tuning and recording apps quite a bit.
