Our 14 yo Britney died 2 weeks ago. Amazing how attached we became to someone that never talked!

Sorry to hear that. There's no describing the emptiness and feeling of loss of a close friend.

It's coming up on a year that I lost my last one, my doberman Diesel. Over the past 18 years I've had 3 of these great dogs in my life and it's just not the same without them around. Sure it's convenient being able to come-and-go at will, but there's an emptiness for sure. I'm with ya.
