  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' LRC (1975 - 1981)
Anyone have a source for larger size lead ingots/pigs?
I need about 1,000 pounds and prefer 20-50 pound bricks.
Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I'd already seen Roto and their prices seemed pretty high. Spot price is about $1.15 per lb., so $2.00 seems steep. Plus they ship from Californication via USPS which may take forever (or 3 days, who knows!).

Anyone know of an east coast source?

Start shopping around for used downrigger / scuba weights.
Maybe around $.50/lb ws

Too many other hobbies to take up melting lead right now!
Plus, I'd like to place the order tomorrow if I can find a source.

Check your nearest large city for a letterpress printer. There are still a few printers using 'hot type' as in Linotype machines - a process where you actually cast the lines of type instead of using individual pieces of type. I know I am showing my age. Anyway, the printers using hot type have ingots of lead/tin/antimony which are about 30" long and weigh maybe 50#. Ask any printer where a letterpress shop is and you'll find a source for lead ingots.
