kudos to Cummins

I decided I wanted the shop manual for my Cummins B engines. This is easy to buy on line as a pdf- it's a lot harder to get in paper form. But, I called Cummins in Baltimore, they looked up the part number for the 370hp marine B engine, verified that no paper manuals were available anywhere.... and then the woman I was talking with said to hold on a moment.. and she found one on eBay for me. Up in Canada. As soon as we were off the phone, I drove home and bought it. Arrives next week. I wanted something I could take to the boat and not have to operate an iPad etc. She went out of her way to help me and I'm grateful.

Good stuff but remember, on the paper version when you place 2 fingers on it and then spread them apart you don't zoom in

Actually being in the construction industry it is best to have both paper and a tablet. Both serve a separate purpose.

Do you want to thank Cummins or that person who helped you?
Hopefully she is a full time employee, applies a helpful attitude in all areas and is rewarded as should be for positive employees.
Because of her, you may call back That Shop, with a new request, sooner.
I hope she answers the call and continues her positive attitude.

Maybe I should start calling Cummins in Baltimore my self.
Cummins in Jax has proved a lil difficult & cold these last few years.

Do it. They were very helpful. Ask for the lady who used to be a Towboat captain for BoatUS. Hard to imagine there's more than one.
