  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' LRC (1975 - 1981)
Or has almost every weekend recently been really crappy?!

"SAT E WINDS 15 TO 20 KT...BECOMING NW 20 TO 25 KT WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 30 KT IN THE AFTERNOON. WAVES 3 TO 4 FT...BUILDING TO 4 TO 5 FT. RAIN IN THE MORNING...THEN A CHANCE OF RAIN IN THE AFTERNOON. SAT NIGHT NW WINDS 20 TO 25 KT WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 30 KT...DIMINISHING TO 15 TO 20 KTS"

Let me get this straight........the guy with one of the only true blue water capable Hatts is complaining about the sea state? Something is not right here. ;)

Let's just say that my crew diminishes quickly with forecasts like this! :)

You brought it up, Jeff, not me. My crew doesn't diminish....she just goes to sleep on the bridge in 3-4 footers. Too bad she's moved to FL.....

Yeah, I hear ya'! :)
Good luck in getting them moving early in the AM though!
My son is still local, but "involved" in a relationship. Daughter is in Charleston loving life down there.
Neither really have time for cruising right now.

I was speaking more of the Admiral and my 7 year old daughter. They are the fair weather cruisers!

BTW, right now I'm sitting here under the flybridge rewiring 30+ years of mess and loving life!

Go south young man. Cruising the ICW in 20-30 is no issue.

I wish.
Just not in the cards this year.

45 gusts in deltaville...

If they complain about 4-5's, you need to season your crew. Get them out in 10-12's and then they'll love those 4-5's.

Heck, if I could single hand her in this weather, I'd be out there having a blast!

That said, I did get to spend 8 quality hours aboard her today. Listened to football games and removed about 200 yards of old positive, negative, instrument and antenna wires from under the flybridge. :)

Amazing (and scary) how much of this crap was still hot!!

Installed the new Garmin 6212, XM, GSD22, and NavPod. Only thing left is running the antenna to the mast.
