In search of-- Metal AC Vent!

Greetings all.

Of all the things I've lost, its my mind I miss the most. Second is the 9 1/2" by 9 1/2" metal ac grill / vent from my forward stateroom. How did I lose it? I don't know... Does anyone have an old or spare one? I checked with SAMS and they don't have them. The Home depots, Loews, etc. don’t have the size I need. I built a teak one but discovered that the AC condensation caused some very nasty mold on the back of it! It's gone now and all I have is the hole. Thanks all..... Oh yea, A while back I spray painted my salon vent flat black and it really improved the look. Paints holding up well.

Have you tried CruiseAire or Marine Air Systems for what they have? The selection is huge. Some of them are metal ones.

You might also try their dealers -- Beard Marine Refrigeration in Ft. Lauderdale travels all around, Comfort Marine Air is another and I'm sure there are plenty more.

We have ripped out the AC on our 1968 50' Hatt MY and still have the grill from the forward stateroom. I measured it over the weekend and it is more like 9 3/4 by 9 3/4, but I expect it is probably the one you are looking for. Be happy to mail it to you if you provide an address.
