  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
I'm looking for an aft deck ladder like shown below, or something very close to this.
I actually want to put it out on the swim platform to improve the climbing angle.
If anyone has a used one for sale, or maybe hardware for one please let me know.

I had one made and kicked it out about 13 inches and it gave it a nice yet. Easier way to climb up and down. I also made the stairs themselves twice as wide. Attached her a couple of photos. Problem was the price was $2100.

Thanks Rusty, that looks pretty nice!
Man they really hit ya on the price to build this stuff don't they!
I was also thinking a side ways setup with stairs, I can't imagine what that would cost.
I'm guessing 5k based on what your ladder cost. Maybe I have to build my own. Problem is time, always the time!

I built my own for a few hundred bucks , I just used straight 1 inch SS tubes and treads that I sourced from Sam's, pretty simple the only thing was keeping the holes for the bolts that go thru the treads all clocked in the right oreintention add the 1 inch holes thru the treads along with the holes for the bolts thru the tread lining up in the center of the 1 inch hole. all at 23.5 degrees . Made the access from the stern so much better then the vertical ladder that was original to Our 43 DC. Since this photo I have added a hand rail.

That looks pretty nice!

I "think" i might go with a sideways stairway.
Working on the drawings right now. I might then change my mind again once I look up the Stainless tube prices lol.
