Yes remember it well. It was for sale for a long time.
Was that one of these pseudo-Bertrams? Don't recall it being listed when I was there, but that was almost 9 years ago. Never did board it, but the guy lived on it. Looked nice on the outside, but I heard the interior was kinda funky.

If the lips are moven, you know the rest. I've had my fare share of good and bad ones. Good luck.

The Bertram in the pic is not a real Bertam. It was made overseas and usually glass over wood. Be careful.

I'm pretty sure I've been on this boat. It was 1980 and the boat was docked in Saugatuck Michigan. The owner had died and his widow was selling the boat. My dad made an offer and then backed out at survey. But that was many, many years ago and I can't remember the specifics. There was also another Bertram International in Bay City Michigan at that time. But that one had some sort of lower "outdrive" setup on it instead of the standard strut and shaft arrangement.

That was a real Bertram that streched.

Mr. Smith,

That is amazing!

What is your opinion if your engines had been 12/71 turbos given the same running and maintenance you gave your naturals?

Jonathan Brein

As I've said on here before the APU cart that started the engines on my sons plane in Afghanistan was powered by a 12/71T that first saw service in Guam during the Vietnam war.

Thank you!

I missed the little t in your post....remembered it well.

Ed Brown owned it and kept it in Saugatuck from 1982 until he died a couple of years later. It was called the Viv-Ed when he had it. I think some dude who owned a few Burger Kings owned it after that. I remember it was at the Holiday Inn for a couple of summers in the later 80's. I remember the pilothouse doors didn't slide but had some funky-ass hinges.

That's right, and it had power windows in the side of the salon. Push a button and they went down into the wall like a car.

I think the guy with the Burger Kings was known as "Whopper Joe".
