I am just appalled at such irresponsible and totally out-of-line "journalism." Stating "nuclear explosion" when it had nothing whatsoever to do with a nuclear explosion, is just disgusting and I frankly cannot understand how anyone could say such a thing since it is obvious it has nothing to do with being accurate and everything to do with trying to get more "readership." The US gov ought to close them down for their actions.

Just think, people heed these idiots advice at voting time , among many other day to day affairs....not journalists at all, products of a University system that bears no political or social reality to today, strictly self perpetuating. Physicians on this forum will get a real chuckle out of this thread title. The media has consistently and thoroughly blown almost every medical issue I've seen them cover over the years... lots of hype, no insight. They don't understand even most basic statistical analysis or understand the bell shaped curve that naturally exists for every intervention or medical therapy, or what drives health care costs through the roof...I could go on and on but suffice it to say this problem is likely to get worse before it gets better because they need the hype or most people won't read their type !

Journalistic objectivity is one of those popular myths*. Most medical stories are rehashes of stuff I read in the NEJM the day before. It is interesting to see how often they get it wrong. I have to say that, regardless of their other failings, the one thing that NPR does well is medical reporting- they take the time to actually get the story correct most of the time. This leaves aside their other failings....

Its an attempt to start a world wide anti nuclear panic. The stoopid media has control and is run by the Illuminati. All nukes will get shut down and we'll depend on oil and coal for power. OOPS... fuel shortage for vehicles occurs, BUT, you can get plenty at $10/gallon... do the math. Did that Japan deal REALLY REALLY happen? The russians said we never landed on the moon; it was staged.
