I just ran across the following on another boating site. Thought I'd try to resurect the idea of some kind of special deal for Hatt owners. If GB owners cann pull it off, why not Hatteras owners?

I also insured with Boats U S for a long time. A few years ago they had a rough loss year and the rates skyrocketed and I shopped. Wound up with Chubb with a reasonable rate. $300k coverage and a %2 deductible for about $2400. per year. Then the Grand Banks owners assn negotiated a deal with Travellers, same value, premium of $1600., but get this, deductiblr of only %1/2 of agreed hull value. Perhaps a similar group deal could be had from a carrier by MTOA.
