It’s the new entitlement mentality. Flipping burgers is now worth $15 per hour. Anything else to do with anything now has to be worth $100, even with unskilled labor.
I just had a guy give me a quote to clean my RV inside and out, including buffing and waxing. He came and looked at the job and gave me a number which I accepted long story short he decided he had underbid the work. With that he left me having done nothing but wash the damn thing along with what was supposed to have been a deep cleaning of the interior that was anything but. His girlfriend did that part of it.
Gave me a sob story, I handed him the cash and wished him well. It just wasn’t worth the aggravation to do things any differently. He crapped in his own nest as I had planned to tip him generously and had also planned to make him and his fiancée (purported to have terminal cancer) my Christmas project by doing something nice for them.
I tend to be losing my faith in mankind.
