I'm suprised that hatteras didnt install a pump set up in the vintage 70s motor yachts to be able to pump the holding tanks overboard , has anyone rigged this up on their holding tanks?

My macerator is not OEM: the original set up gave you the option of pumping the heads directly overboard into the ocean or into the tank.. So when a PO converted to Vacuflush, he used one of the discharges for one of the heads to point the outflow of a pump to. Mine happens to be right near the holding tank. What is your head system schematic?

Holding tanks were an option back then although they were in the keel the option was hook ups to use them. I used the foward tank (there's three total in the 43) and piped my sealnd pump overboard in the hull just foward of the tank. Bill

On our 58 YF all heads are plumbed to the holding tank in the starboard engine room. from that tank it either goes overboard through a discharge pump via a OEM thruhull located close by the tank or through a Y valve it can be pumped out through a toe rail port.
