I dont know if you know this but the entire Warff complex just sold within the last month to a private individual.I think it was in yesterdays Press Register.

All my discussions with Beverly point to the Wharf getting better. Right now the Marina is as it has always been. The Restaurants and shops are at a low but new tenants are supposedly lined up. Live Bait and Guy Harvey were both closed a few weeks ago.
Big Bill you get a vote but Deckhand, Capt. Tobb and I can easily outvote you.

Hopefully we can get something going

robby, thanks for the article, i hadn't seen that one. i have been keeping track of the goings on at the wharf through beverly. she said that we are always welcome to have our rendezvous there. stay tuned here for updates. looking forward to seeing you and bren if she can get off of work.
jimmy, that 3 people overruling one sounds a little bit like our govt.
i'm thinking a little bit later in the summer. may always seems to have high school functions that doesn't allow some members to participate..

Jimmy, his Viking is just like mine, well... it is newer, and bigger...shiny and I doubt he uses Chinet plates to make his gaskets......lol

Yes indeed, the entire Wharf complex sold to Art Farve, President of Performance Contractors in Baton Rouge. http://www.performance-br.com/who.htm

The Wharf is very fortunate to have been aquired by one owner again so that it can move forward without any issues of disagreement between owners. Art not only knows business, he knows marinas as he is a boater himself even if his current boat is a 74' Viking. Now the Marina at the Wharf will certainly not be forgotten or sold off for profit as Art has stated that he has no intention of selling off or flipping any of the property for quick profit. He is in it for the long haul for the long term success of the entire complex and the Orange Beach community.

The Wharf will be glad to see the rendezvous back. Beverly, the Marina staff and the Wharf as a whole have always treated us so well over the years.
