Help Needed: The Great Hatteras Color Code Mystery – Imron 67766x ConRock White!





Good Morning,


I need to restore a few dents and dings on my Hatteras, and I’ve tracked down the old color code: Imron 67766x ConRock White. It’s even listed in the owner’s manual, though back then it was under Dupont with a different ending—"u"
The problem? Here in Mexico, nobody seems to recognize this code. From what I understand, it was replaced with a new one around 2015. Does anyone know the updated code or have any advice?
I’ve already had two companies attempt a color match, but neither came close. Let’s just say, welcome to Mexico!

I told my Wife it wasn't possible to match, so we would need to repaint from the waterline up. Now it sounds like that's a true statement based on your experience.

A good paint shop has the " magic camera"to match the paint. I've had a few scanned over the years and it's spot on. If your local shop doesn't have one try another. They're not uncommon but they are a bit expensive.

Where in Mexicoare you. I remember when I lived in Puerto Vallarta in 2006 you could buy Imron down there really cheap, but they never were that great on color matching.

in Progresso close to Merida. There are a lot of shops who sell imron axalta. But they tried to color match twice, and twice the color was off. Not really sure why. Also tried with Nervion, they also didnt matched the color perfect. Just somehow ok. But i prefer to have the right match.

There is definitley a new color code for this old one, but i cant find it.

You may need to let the new samples sit in the sun for several days then compare to your original. All of these fancy paints may feel dry in a day or so but still curing and off-gassing for days.

New Imron Elite #883769 is the same as the old 67766U
