Well, I got it out. It took 3 of us pulling on the wrench to break it loose, but the easy out did it. I dont think the easy out will ever come out of the fitting, but who cares since the fitting came out of the plate. Now to fabricae a new pickup.
What is the pickup tube made of? it looks like copper, but I am not exactly sure. Plus, do I want to put it closer to the bottom of the tank so that I have more usable fuel? Plus there was a slit cut about 2" up from the bottom of the pickup that makes it pull from higher up than the bottom. Why would you need that? why not just cut the pickup shorter?
