  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
Just moved into a new slip at Southwestern Yacht Club in San Diego and right across the bay from me are 24 slips and in those 24 slips are 7 Hatteras motor yachts. 5 70's, a 61 cockpit and an 80 cockpit. I guess Hatteras is doing ok on the west coast. John

How bout a pic?!

Is Ron on Wet Ever the 61'? If so go by and introduce yourself. Ron's a great Hatteras owner. You will love his yacht. Tell him you know me (Rusty.) X2 on the photo request.

That would be E and F dock at the Kona Kai, and yes, there are a lot of us here (I'm in E-29).
If you look at the "inside" slips you will find My 60C (Ohana), Mike's 55C (Habanero), and Roger's 68 MY (Una Vida) just about next to each other among all the Vikings and Mikelsons in "battlewagon row"

At my marina we have:
1 40DC
1 48CMY
1 52CMY
1 53C
3 53EDMY
1 60MY
1 60C
1 65MY

That's 10 and I think there were 3 when I first moved there in 2005. I guess everyone decided to upgrade to a Hatteras.

Hmmm.... I am going to have to do a count at PNYH, the closest big marina to me. I think you guys have us beat.

I'm down the road at Sun Harbor but I will take a pic this weekend of all the boats John mentioned.

Dave I will stop by sometime, I like to paddle board through the marinas and have met some of the owners of those boats while paddle boarding, seems to be the old mans sport of choice in San Diego. John

Hey John,

Let me know when you are paddle boarding. I will bring my dinghy on by and tow you home :) I still need to check out your boat now that you are closer at SWYC.

Found a nice group of Hatteras around San Diego/Point Loma area of the bay

You missed getting a shot of the Hatt SF. There's a 52C or 55C with a tower in the background of one of the shots you posted.

Hi Ron,

I will come down and say hello after Christmas. Thanks for letting me know

I will work on that next time, thanks for pointing it out!

That's Habanero. I'm four slips to the right.

That' what I was thought. I know you mentioned you both were there along with a few other Hatt SF

Hey Dave, I paddle boarded by your boat yesterday, Looked like no one was aboard, the weather was rotten though 72 degrees and bright sun, but there was ice on our docks in the morning. Great pictures Ron.
