  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' YACHT FISHERMAN (1970 - 1981)
While waterfront snooping around South Florida this week, I ran across this 58 Hatteras Yacht Fish in a very sorry state. I'm told that someone just recently bought this boat with the dream of restoring it himself. I did not go aboard. I wish the new owner good luck. Lets be kind, and hope he has a pocket full of money to spend on her.

How could someone let this happen? What a shame. At one time this was someone's dream. Now it's this owners nightmare.

A few more pix

Imagine what the engine room looks like! Some one need their butt kicked twice....Another grate boat bites the dust. I HOPE THE NEW OWNER DID NOT PAY FOR IT WITH DOLLARS.
I hope the new owner was paid well to take ownership of it !

Reminds me of autopsy photos!

Most likley a sinker

That should buff right out.

I doubt she will escape Davey Jones grip for long

I see some parts I could use!

Southern Comfort
1977 Hatteras 58YF

Looks like the boat I looked at about four years ago that the battery charger had caught on fire I was looking for a project at the time. It was a 53YF in Ft Lauderdale that he bought at an auction for like $7k and I offered 15k and he said no he wanted $60k so I moved on.

I hope the new owner has impeccable fiberglass skills.

i need some parts also, if anyone hears of a 53 my or a 58 yf being parted out, please post it here. once again i'll put this out there......i am looking for a set of master stateroom closet doors. 4 total

No rsmith. Not a sinker. Just nasty. I understand it reached South Florida under it's own power.

Come on guys,,,, It's not that Bad. I'm sure they'll be able to buff that right out.

Tony

I saw this boat. Sadly, she's way too far gone. Might make a good parts boat. Call Sam's in Lauderdale. They have info on this boat located at Cable marine . Last time I saw it about a month ago....

Nothing that time and money wouldn't cure. Not sure who has that much of either.

There is a boat still afloat in Ft. Lauderdale that's in worse shape than the Hatteras...

I'm not sure, but I think she is a mid-late 1960s model 65' Grebe. She had a hardtop over the aft deck that isn't there anymore. What beautiful lines though. She was once a princess.
