Hi all!
I have a '94 50c with a weird electrical issue that I've never experienced. There are two overhead lights on the port side of the salon that have no power and the master suite lights and outlets (starboard side) have no power.
There are breakers for "port lights and outlets" and "starboard lights and outlets". I've reset both as well as turned every breaker on. I've also checked for anything on the engine room breakers. I've never found any other breakers on the boat. I checked the lights with a known working bulb and plugged in a working vacuum but I get nothing.
Any ideas? I guess I have to test the breakers, plugs, switches but wondering if anyone might have run across this.
Thanks!

I have one. Look and see if those breakers are GFI. If not, then look for an added GFI somewhere downstream of the breaker. It should be in an electrical box and likely close by. I don't think you can buy those OEM breakers anymore, so replacing with a standard 15A and adding GFI protection would be the fix.

I had a similar problem on my 41C. I reset the GFI button on the ouitlet.

Thanks Robert and Steve. I'll start with the simple things and work from there. I'll report back!

Omg, what a rookie issue! I broke out the electrical plans thinking hidden transformer but you guys were right...naturally!
I saw that the offending areas did have transformers but two salon gfi outlets were on the same circuit. I reset it and bingo, problem solved. Thanks for making me think a little!

A different model but if the GFI in the AC outlet in my VIP head trips, my ER fluorescent lights go out. Drove me nuts the first time it happened! Still gets to me when I forget about the outlet... (premature senility?)
