Freebird hit 1000 posts today?

Or that adding the Sandbar has made site more fun?

And that's not including the 32,576 posts he had removed !!!

I like the new format! I just have to figure out how to shrink some pictures so I can post a couple of FLIBS pictures. LOL

Hey, did I hit 1,000? I really hadn't noticed either. Hey, I like the new forum, but I find myself getting zapped here too. I've admitted to the powers that be that I literally asked for a couple of zappin's, but I did ask why a couple were zapped that I truly thought were fine sandbar material.

Okay mods (and Doug), I'm still waiting on a PM explanation. I ain't peaved or nothing, just looking for clarification as to be a better bartender.

Asked and answered, 1002 and climbing! :D

Admit, ya'll would miss me if I were gone, and you'd still be stuck with a bunch of "forum trolls" (borrowed from Boss Lady) on the "other" forum if I hadn't dropped anchor on this site!

Okay Charlie, no fair double dippin'. Pick a number and stay with it would ya? :D

I mean be real dude, It'll take me at least another six months to get anywhere near that many threads zapped!

quality not quantity is what matters.. heck, this is a site about Hatteras not Sea Rays... see what happens when we let a Sea Ray owner in :-)

look at this thread.. 4 one liners in a row...

Randy, read the rules that Doug posted for the Sandbar... it's not an anything goes forums so zapping may happen :-)

Hey Pascal, I never started out trying to set any posting records, I suppose I feel obligated to answer anything directed at me. I never meant to divide the membership either. I'm just a hard core boat guy who loves talking about boats and all the related activities that go along with owning one.

I think a lot of members are happy with the new forum, but they didn't want to rock the boat by voicing opinions about being able to talk about serious stuff with a little personality thrown in when we had the old format. Look what happened when I did that. Poor old Doug got bombarded with whiners who just knew this forum was going to hell in a handbasket. There were plenty of public salvos launched my way as well. Good thing I'm thick skinned and have a sense of humor about this kind of thing.

BTW, hasn't anybody told you that your manual entries of smiley faces etc. don't make any sense? :D

PS This original thread wasn't at all serious, so my one-liners only added to what was already started. We're all Hatt owners on here, so it's all relative.

Ok Randy but you still have to admit you owned a Searay :D

Sea Rays, ?????? Next your gonna want to start talking about 31 Bertrams, geez.. If I wanted to hear all this blathering, I'd a just sat at the floating bar with Randy drinking G/T's errrrrrr never mind thats what I was doing.

Pascal,
What is the big problem with one liners??? I type very slowly, I flunked typing I figured it was for secretaries. I did not see the need for typing as I only wanted to fix boats.
When a question is asked about A part number or a simple answer. I give a simple to the point answer.
I thought this forum was about information quality and not quantity.
I have been working on these boats and engines for 30+ years and try to help people with a problem. If you do not want my input, just say so!
Dave

Yah Dave I agree. I too have become disillusioned with the forum. Something as simple as a packing job turns into a 20 page dissertation by the "EXPERTS". If I had a GODDAMN nickle for everytime I had to figure something out to get home from 50 miles out I could hire one of these BRANIACS to come fix my boat while I played with MY manicure.
WAH!! my gps doesnt work--what do I do now???? SIMPLE A.H. DONT LEAVE THE DOCK. If you had a GD clue how to plot on paper the gps would seem to be a toy.
WAH!! I have a loose wire on my toilet, what do I do now??? DONT S--T on the boat.
WAH!! there too many one liners on my forum--what do I do?? QUIT READING IT.
I wish I could put some of these SISSIES up on a 25 story boiler and repack soot blowers that are 1100 degrees F WAH!!! ITS TOO HOT UP THERE !! what should I do?? "Go sit in yer car kid... we'll call you when we need you..."
Some of these knuckleheads P--S me off so much that I could swing into some VILE DIATROBE, but instead I'll let my TWO TYPING FINGERS SPEAK FOR ME. All you colige gradjeates better learn how to spell too!!! From now on I'll be grading yer spellin'.
You MODS P--S and moan about Randy, but I'll tell you this, He is one of the sharpest knives in the drawer, AND he can outspell you clods on one of his worst days!! Wanna talk about PUNCTUATION next???
Pardon me for exploding/venting. I think I'll take a break and surf for some B- - - - - E before my bride gets home. Ay least her spankings merit some pleasure!!
Sorry for hijacking the thread reply Dave, but these guys get my S - - T ta' boilin'. William W. Stephan

Bill,
WOW. Sorry I did not mean to hit a nerve! I just get annoyed when I answer a question only to have my post deleted. Hope you feel better after venting.
You have one up on me as I only use one finger. Dave

I have excellent typing skills since my high school guidance counselor couldn't do math and added up my credits needed to graduate incorrectly ( I was in college prep and had been taking accellerated courses) and when they discovered during the last semester that I was a credit short, the only available courses were Home Economics and Typing. Since I was in ROTC and on the football team neither appealed to me given the nature of high school boys, however I figured that the lesser of evils was typing and I could handle the harrasment of taking the typing class , but there would wind up bein a killin if I took HomeEc. Little did I know that computers would be what they are, and how important typing would become. Plus there was a ton of hot chicks, and being the only guy had its' rewards. :D

P.S. Randy is a multiple SEARAY OFFENDER! LOL

Hey Dave, I feel much better-- Flogged the bishop and had some mac n' cheese for dinner. :D Sometimes the chain holdin' the safety down needs a little slack.

I got a preety good chuckle out of your reply--THANKS, I needed that!! ws

Hey now, home ec was pretty cool too-- 19:1 !! After an hour of close order drill, it was good to settle down and bake a nice quiche lorraine!! Do you remember your "first general order" though?? ws

LOL, hey Wild Bill, I saw your other post. I see you are playing stump the chump! And yes I do. I will guard everything within the limits of my post and will quit my post only when properly relieved. (retired 1995, US Army)

I not only had to take typing , but also had to take home Ec as well. I made a couple pillows! The girls wanted to take shop so...
Bit I still remember power mechanics, The teacher liked me and would write me a pass for next period if I stayed to clean up. [ or finish working on his car]
