Hello Everyone,

Well I've been working and playing on the boat since may in Ensenada with no top or enclosure. I have had a lot of fun and caught fish locally but now that it's time to close up the flybridge and get ready for some long range trips. I wondering if I will miss the open feel that the boat has now or the way the boat looks with no top. I guess everything is a trade off at least I will have something to mount the electronics to and cruising at 19knots in damp gray mornings won't require 2 sweatshirts and a blankie! Here are a couple of pics as the boat is now with no top,, I kind of like it. I will haul mid April for bottom work and installing the tower/hard top.

Looks great. The 46 is one of the best offshore boats Hatt ever made. they look best with a full tower IMO.

She does look good without the extra hardware, but a hardtop is a pretty necessary thing. Fortunately, convertibles look fine with a tower or hardtop as long as they're not designed by a plumber. I'm sure it will look fine when you're done.

BTW, outriggers are part of the look too. It's kind of like earrings to go with the other jewelery.

Jewelry... got a kick out of that one! I have a set of 33 foot rupps to go on as well. I am using the original 1/2 tower but beefing it up a bit with more tubing so it should look good after I awl grip it white. Someday I may have a full tower built but for now I'm forced to spread the money out on the whole boat while getting it back in shape.
