Todd,
Congratulations and welcome back. She looks great! Good luck with her.

Wow, nice buy. I won't say the number, but wow. There are some amazing deals if you do the legwork. Ask me, or Jack, or several others here that have recently committed larceny. And you don't even have to bring a gun to the closing. She looks great. Enjoy!

Beautiful boat!

Congratulations and best of luck with her.

Awesome, I'm we are all jealous.

Keep the pics coming.

Congratulations! I love the galley down model. Nice big salon.

I think I know that boat. Did it originally belong to two partners from Jersey?

Yes, it was owned by a couple elderly brothers. Broker in South Fla bought to flip but market out ran him and the boat sat for a year and a half. We are still trying to get rebuild info and such but the mechanical and hull surveys were favorable.

It is a great layout and is ,for the most part, unmolested. We ran it to Canaveral for some work and the performance far exceeded my expectations. New electronics, interior soft goods, outriggers and a bottom job should be done in the next few weeks. My wife has limited my spending until I get rid of the Contender...lol

Very handsome boat. Where are you in the photos? It looks a bit familiar. Have fun, I think it is a beautiful boat. I like them without the tower and all that, especially for up in this area.

No, those pics were during survey, I was behind the camera. It will likely end up with a hardtop, I am not sure I like the idea of 12kw worth of microwaves aimed at my boys....

That's one of the first things I noticed. A 4KW dome, maybe but not a big open array scanner. You'll get better range if you increase the height and your "boys" won't tingle after a day of running the radar.

Was the original name" Buckaroo"?

As far as I know and the documentation search shows only being named Nellie.

Wow that's one hell of a Itch you had :)

She looks sweet sounds like she will be getting some nice TLC.

Lot's of luck with her!

Yes I looked up too and it showed no other names. It may not have been documented before. Anyway good luck with her!!

The documentation number is in the 900,000's, which would mean it was issued in the mid-1980's. The only way to know the documentation history is to get the abstract from the USCG Documentation Center. It is always a good idea to know the full history on any documented boat you own or are seriously looking at.

Nice boat. Congrats! We saw that one in Ft. Lauderdale and they certainly were nearly begging us to make a deal. Not the right set up for what we wanted, but the ER looked really clean and the boat looked well cared for (except for the 18mo of sitting). Glad it went to someone to take care of her. Enjoy!
Andy
