It's amazing how little thought people put into their ground tackle The first picture is of a Chris Craft sportfishing boat.. No chain and a rusted out anchor.
The second picture is of a 44' trawler with a way undersized anchor and 6' of chain

On a recent trip in the exumas our guests met with with a friend's 75 Viking sportfish. That boat had a fortress 55 stored in the locker Needless to say they ended up rafting up to us after 5 failed attempt to hold

Are you saying the Fortress wouldn't hold or that the Viking owner is not very good at setting an anchor?

No the captain did what he could, there is just no way for a 55 pounder to hold a 75 footer in 10kts plus 1kr current...

Just shows how so many people don't much attention to ground tackle

That little claw would make a nice lunch hook for a boat about one-third the size of the one it is on.
