- 43' DOUBLE CABIN (1970 - 1984)
1971 MYDC 43 --second owner--lots of updates make her very reliable and comfortable.
Purchased in 2004 from the original owner in Thunderbolt Ga. and major work done nearby at the Hinkley yard--The bottom was peeled [many coats of bottom paint-no blisters] and bow thruster installed along with the Hull painted with Awlgrip.
On arrival in Beaufort where she lives today more upgrades installed including----New batteries-nav gear-painted the aluminum frames and interior bridge after new tinted glass was professionally installed.
After much thought a Raritan treat and hold waste system was installed [the waste tank has never been used and could be an extra fuel tank] along with a new rear head.
Due to the fact that our boats stay at the dock a lot we installed an Algex fuel polish system and continued with improvements--new custom nav./comm housing -3010 GPS chart plotter-new original pulpit -windlass-and recently a polished SS CQR 60# anchor and updated the original 2004 24v batteries with 4 new 6v Deca batteries devoted to the bow thruster and windlass.
The engines were cleaned and painted-block heaters installed- 9kw Northern Lts gen set installed in 2012 and SS davit on the stern for the dingy. A new rear enclosure w/screens was installed using high quality EZ2CY and still very clear - 5 years old.
Recent survey at haul out found no defects and new 24x26 props were installed with Prop speed.
In addition to the items above -a new 6 gal water heater-3000 watt inverter -- VHF/14ft antennae-- and new smart charger. To date only 1800 +_ hours on the vessel.
Many other improvements too numerous to mention. You need to see for yourself.Pictures on request. For sale by owner--only $95,980.
