Good Boat Financing company / person

I thought I would throw this to my online friends, we are looking to gather feedback on good boat financing firms/people that you know and trust - any thoughts? If they are located in SE FL all the better.

I really had a good experience with Sterling Associates about 3 1/2 yrs ago when I bought Beach Nut. The guy I dealt with was Shawn Rogan. Numbers are 508 234-1550, 800 286-8073. After buying the boat, about 6 months to a year later Shawn called me and told me if I was interested he could get me a cheaper rate. I asked him how much it would cost me in closing. He said nothing because they make the banks pay the closing. I refinianced and a cheaper rate. Did the figures before I agreeded and he saved me over $7000 over the life of the loan. Probaly the easiest loan I had ever had processed.

For the Hatteras I bought in Dec. and the Tiara I bought before that I used Scott Finance. Good people and rates and very easy to deal with.

Jerry Pitts at Russo Marine Finance 410-604-0200. He's a boater, not a banker. He speaks and understands plain English, and makes the loan process the easiest ever. If it's do-able, he can get it done. The best part (for self employed like me): No income verification for loans up to $250,000.

Thanks for all the great info thus far. Joining this site as a member, and interacting with everyone here makes me remember why I love boating so much. After 4 years "off" keep your fingers crossed for me!

We went through a website something like eboatloans.com I think.....it worked great I pitted the different finanace companies against eachother for interest rates and closing quickness once we had been approved by several. Keybank actually did lower the interest rate and we amazing on the closing.
