Thanks for the wishes and the link. Even allowing for the temperature effect (reactions usually double in rate for every 10 degree C rise) the discharge seems too fast as the batteries were fully charged when it was hauled and the switches turned off. We are going to go down every three-four weeks in the future.

Bob, I'm super happy to hear you are doing better. Yeah we are coming down to the wire and Sept. 2nd (Tues) is approaching too fast. After the Monday (holiday) I hope to splash on Tuesday evening. The Yard will prolly be closed on Monday and I'll be able to reconnect the batteries Tuesday upon splashing. I can combine the (6) golf cart batteries and the 8D starting batts to try to crank over the engines. Fingers crossed you know. Wed. we will wash the boat top to bottom and buy groceries and load stores. Thurs we need to rent a car and travel to homestead to drop off our car we will use when we start working. Friday we plan to make the trip to Homestead hopefully arriving Sunday (not pushing it). I start work on the 10th. Its like walking a tight rope hoping nothing goes wrong. Lots of stress you know. I do thank you for your offer for the dock space.

Good luck Pate. Going through the 'canyon' on a weekend will be an adventure. Try to get early starts and anchor up early.

Oh man, I forgot about it being a weekend. Have you ever went outside from Stuart down to Miami? That would be more enjoyable? I just called ACY and they said they would splash me at 1300 on Tuesday. So I need to be down there about 12:00 noon. I sure hope the batteries are up.

Pate,

I have never been out of the St Lucie inlet, but lots of folks do it. It's a pretty long from there to Miami. Personally I'd run inside to North Palm (37 SM) or Lake Worth then jump out there for an easy run to Miami. Personally, I'd want an overnight charge on my batteries unless you are willing to run with the gen set.
