The new GM proudly introduces the 2010 "Obama"... This vehicle is a hybrid...it runs on both hot air and bullshit.

Witout a sense of humour, a person is destined for a life of misery....seems to be true aslo..

Even without the picture that is funny. It's also scary and true.

I have a sense of humor, that jsut didnt make me laugh. the original picture titled "Government Motors"...now THAT is funny...but the part about the hybrid is just not funny.

and I hate cats.

A friend of mine is the head engineer on the Volt project. Lots of funny stories about that one. Best story is when they realized that the 42 mile range wouldn't cut it, they decided to install a gen set. Now any Hat owner could have fixed them up with about 10 choices in either gas or diesel sets eh? No, not GM, they had to design and build a whole new package from scratch. When they were done, my friend had to make a hurry up flight to California. It seems those left coast, Pelosi fans, decided that the gen set had to meet automotive engine standards for emisions. Of course, you can't expect the brainless guys at GM to anticipate that eh? Well, the left coastie government decided that the gen set must meet all auto emisions if it is installed in the car. If GM would decide to mount the stupid thing in a trailer, it wouldn't be considered part of the car and therefore would not have to meet the emision standards. Now, the GM guys are really stupid, but at least folks didn't elect them. We need to throw out every elected official this fall and select the other choice. The Californians will never do that, they love those liberal idiots.:(

I sense another gm bailout coming, that volt thing is destined to be another Edsel....I bet Toyota are laughing up their sleeves.

Is this the same highly intelligent GM, that once owned a diesel division called 'Detroit' (ok, I know you know), so when it came time to install a diesel in a GM car, decided to make a 30 year old chief engineer to design a diesel based on the GM/Oldmobile gas block? (yes, I am out of breath). So DD never got the call to design that diesel. Oh, that Olds diesel kinda had its problems, even though the gas engine variant was one of GM's best.

I once interviewed with GM for a Global Manager position and found them a) to be without a clue about the real world (I had managed several global systems successfully) and b) arrogant. No different that when I worked for them in the 60's and 70's, but then they owned 70% of the market....sadly, no more.

You are right. Not funny. A Toyota Land Cruiser like they use on safari's in Kenya is much more appropriate!
