Get Home Bow Thruster

Yeah, I'd never heard of one either until I bought this one from MicroKap. This one even has the optional shallow water/stump-jumping wheel set that conveniently lifts the bow while protecting the propeller.

I hate to take advantage of a Yankee, but I didn't pay him much more for this thing than a regular outboard would cost. Now all I have to do is fabricate a mount and come up with a toggle switch to swing it from side to side, and another to raise it up and down. Maybe I should have posted this in the technical section.

Where are the blue tie down straps? That came with the outfit. I hope they didn't go back with the carrier because they were yours as part of my "crack" shipping preparation.

You tie one to each bow cleat and you can also use the engine to keep the water from freezing around Freebird over the winter. It was Johnson's original attempt at an ice eater.

No way would I let those pretty blue straps go back with the carrier. You did an excellent job of packing my new thruster. As for using those straps to attach the thruster to my 58, I think that would look a little tacky, don't you?

Like Pascal said, if I'm putting the 58 into charter, everything has to be perfect. Those blue tiedowns would clash with my brown gunwhale stripe.
