I need a pair of gear coolers for my Cummins 6BTA's (Twin Disc gears), does anyone have a good source to buy Sen dure coolers direct and cheap?

You used to be able to buy direct from Sendure as I recall. otherwise find a good mechanic to get them for you from Sendure or Cummins.

Lenco in Farmingdale, NY is another good choice.

Pleasant to do business with.

I have also dealt with Lenco and it is fine company. Jerry, I don't think it is in Farmingdale, it is located in Amityville New York on Albany Avenue.

X10 on Lenco. I used them for years when I was on Long Island. I have gotten some stuff from them recently that the local guys did not have.

Mike, try Tony Athens at Seaboard Marine in Oxnard, CA. He sells quite a few of these engines and sometimes has coolers (new!) left over from installations where they were rerouted or not needed. Usually he has several around. He'll help you out. Great guy.

Lenco was even able to provide an original H/E for my old '65 Chris 327F engines.

Thanks guys, My local Cummins dealer wanted $1476/pair and lenco supplied a pair for $500 (no tax) + shipping. Great company! Thanks again.

Just remember that Florida has use tax and is starting to track down shipments from out of state.

Did I say gear coolers? My mistake, they are just shipping a box of old spare parts :)

Be fair and remember we have sales tax for a reason.

As a business here I am bound by these laws. If you buy out of state you are bound by them and the tax is considerably less than the penalties. the state has started to go after shipments because of the lost revenue.

FYI I do report sales tax for what I sell and use tax for the items that I keep.

FYI from the state website

http://dor.myflorida.com/dor/taxes/sales_tax.html

Sales Tax
Each sale, admission charge, storage, or rental is taxable unless the transaction is exempt. Sales tax is added to the price of the taxable goods or service and collected from the purchaser at the time of sale. Florida's general sales tax rate is 6 percent.

Use Tax
Use tax is due on the use or consumption of taxable goods or services when sales tax was not paid at the time of purchase. For example:

If you buy a taxable item in Florida and didn't pay sales tax, you owe use tax.
If you buy an item tax-exempt intending to resell it and then use the item in your business or for personal use, you owe use tax.
If you buy a taxable item outside Florida and bring or have it delivered into this state and you didn't pay sales tax on the item, you owe use tax.

Jerry

Are practicing to be a politician ??

:)

This Jerrymandering has got to stop.

And I believe it is our civic duty to avoid paying taxes as much as possible.
