Furuno Autopilot pump

Anyone have experience with the Furuno Autopilot pumps HRP 16-12 or HRP17-12 ? They seem awfully small ? Not sure of reliability. Would a Simarad RPU-160 work with NavPilot ?

Give Simrad customer service a call at 1-800-426-5565. Ask for John. He really knows his stuff, and is willing to take the time to work with you. As a matter of fact, if my Robertson proves to be shot, I've decided to go with the Simrad autopilot rather than the Raymarine unit, based solely upon his help. Up until now, I've used Raymarine exclusively, but their support is lousy.
