has this happened to anyone? when I havn't started the starboard engine in a month or so, I have to pull the filter out of the dayco when I do this there is a large bubble that comes to the top of the bowl, it burbs and then the level of the fuel drops down about two to three inches I then put the filter back in the canister and top off the filter and screw on the top, making sure the O-ring is seated. The motor starts right off. If I don't do this to the filter and try to start the motor it will start but after a couple of mins it slowly drops in RPMs and then dies. Ive ran a leak down test on all the hoses and they seem to be fine. I havn't messed with the rails or pump yet. the racor filter is mounted on the rear bulkhead and is higher than the motor by two inches and the filter is 39" high from the deck? the port side motor lites off in two revs of the starter motor and runs perfect. that filter is a foot lower than the starboard side could this be the problem. Before I go further I would like some feed back. by the way the motors are 8V-71s with about 1,100 hours.
