Three years ago last January I took delivery of my 34C from the boatyard after converting from gas to diesel. In April of that year, I started having fuel problems. The tanks were originally cleaned, but I was constantly having fuel flow problems. Talked to the Yanmar people and they said to add the ALGAE X inline magnetic devices. Did that, still problems. It was getting to the point that I was changing RACORS every three hours of running time and changing out the secondaries ($56 buck a pop per filter). Could not go out and expect to come back from fishing without clogging. I had the fuel polished and tanks cleaned a second time. Then I came across a product called AJX which was recommended by another member of this forum. After hurricane Wilma, I had topped off my tanks and added more AJX fuel treatment. All I can say is at this time, six months later and half a tank of diesel consumed, I have not had to change the RACOR filter elements or the secondaries and the boat runs beautifully.

glad you are now running without trouble. guess going to bahamas will not be such a worry.

We used AJX in ours for one season, it seemed to cure the problem we had. I am currently using it in one of my jet ski's, my fuel injected one has constant problems. thus far the AJX appears to have cleared the problem for the most part. it still sputters a little when cold, takes a few laps around the lake to clear it then it runs perfect, in fact 3 weeks ago it topped 70mph. which is an all time high for it.

That water gets pretty hard at 70. I am really happy that I can once again trust the boat. Still want to do a Keys trip before making a crossing. Was not able to put the Bahamas trip together this summer. Maybe next year.

One of my tanks was "bad" for a bunch of years. I used AJX in it per suggestions here and it has been good ever since. This year, I am going to order more just for maintainance purposes.

I have some nasty tanks that haven't cleaned up since I bought the boat. Where can I get this AJX? I have tried other additives, and none seem to work. I just purchased Algae-X's AFC-705, and will see how that works...but I would like to try this AJX if it's as good as everyone says!

You will find the AJX products at www.ajx.us

Pretty amazing stuff IMHO.
