I am in the process of updating my fuel distribution and filtering system. I have made new suppy and return manifolds and have a question. Should I plumb the generator suppy and return lines into the manifold or leave them connected directly to the fuel tank. Also should a Walpro priming pump be installed before or after the primary fuel filters. Your comments would be appreciated. Bob

Generator fuel supply and return can be plumbed either way you mention, it's a matter of preference. I'd personally rather be able to select the generator fuel tank for supply and return tank, but not if it's a real long hose run between the manifold, generator and tank.
The advantage of plumbing via the manifold is that is if you run out of fuel in a tank or get contamination in a tank you can switch your generator to a full/clean supply. My 1972 48 ft YF has the generator supply and return plumbed to the forward (center) tank and has no selection valves. Just don't mix engine supply and generator supply on the same fuel supply line as the engine will likely starve the genny for fuel (so I have been told).
