Welcome aboard, and congrats on owning a Hatt. I love them. I'm with Cpt Ralph. Cut the hose just below the seal and splice in new hose.That seal and the undisturbed cap mounting are worth their weight in gold if they haven't leaked. Save yourself a ton of unneeded labor and the new buyer a future potential leakage spot.
