  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
When on dockside water, pressure IMG_5130.webpreads almost 80 psi at galley maid tank?
Bad check valve? Single check valve allowing dockside water pressure to tank.
Also, when on ships water system, 32 psi, I have seepage out the dockside hose/water hook up?
Bad check valve again? Dual check valve allowing seepage at both hose hook ups.
Check valve failure prevalent? New values or just remove & clean?

I would replace vs cleaning. My check valve for the heads get stuck closed after winter storage and I’ve cleaned and lubed to no avail.

Are those valves Sams specific items or any plumbing supply?

Any place that sells plumbing supplies should have them.

Replace pressure regulator.

Couple questions?
Galley maid tank is bad, water coming out of air valve.
Blown Bladder?
Have purchased new galley maid tank, which, for some reason, is smaller than original. How will that affect the water system? Pressure? Pump run time?
Not exactly sure of the Blue Tank purpose? Accumulator tank?
Would that have added as opposed to buying a new galley maid water tank/accumulator?
Will it now redundant or Blue needs to be removed?

The accumulator rite under the pump will will offer the best dampening as the pump cycles.
The Larger blue will help even more settling and pressure cycles to the shower heads.
IMO, use them both.
Because of their different volumes, I do not see any conflicts using the two of them.

There are pressure settings on these, As I poorly remember, with no pressure on the lines, a couple psi of air under the cutoff water pressure setting. Should be a tag on the blue bottle with these instructions.
