  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
41' CONVERTBLE-Series I (1964 - 1971)
I just got a warranty call on a 1 year old mastervolt 12 volt charger . It's dead. I check supply voltage. No problem. I bring it to the shop and set it up on the bench. Nothing. So I speak with mastervolt tech support. He said if it has an H in the serial number hell just send a replacement.

I will say that's good to know that their customer service will quickly replace a charger from a series that had known problems. Sadly I think they should have done a repair or recall. Now 8 have some bluish greenish color to mix in with the xantrex yellow pile for the recycler.

I've found the mastervolt buttons and lights to be a bit less than easy to use too. Maybe I'm just too used to the victron interfaces.

Color me a Mastervolt hater. Had 2 of them. First died at 25 months, second at 28 months- warranty is 24 months. Mastervolt offered about $100.00 off for new ones.

Bought a Victron based on Scott's recommendation and haven't looked back for over 4 years.

I’m 12 months in on a master volt charger. It’s set up for constant voltage, and so far so good. Fingers crossed, but I like mine.

Same thing happened to me. Master Volt charger was out of warranty. They replaced it quickly. They paid freight. No problems with second charger.
