Fpt marine engines

Anyone have any familiarity with them? May be able to get a deal on a set that would mKe an ideal repower on 671 Detroit’s on paper but not familiar enough with the engines themselves. Specifically the 6.7 550hp

The Cat C8.7 and C12.9 are variations of the FPT engines.

check over on the downcast boaters forum (https://downeastboatforum.com). think some of the lobster boys use them, and there is or was an FPT dealer there
