Fort Myers...air conditioning

Does anyone have a recommendation for air conditioner tech in Fort Myers.... I need a unit replaced.

I had an issue with a noise that was driving us nuts. I used Felix Marine. They sent a tech over who looked it over and found it was the fan. So I asked him to check the refrigerant out and he did. All was well and not excessive given he came to us.

The best guy down there on A/C is Bruce Weld 941-815-4360 very fair, honest, does what needs to be done when he says that he will do it! Very hard to find that kind of service down there!

This is why I love this forum. ...Northshoreone recommended Bruce Weld and described him as being
honest, fair and personable. I can attest to all of those attributes. He could have easily told me I
need a new air conditioner since I told him I thought that is what is needed.
but he evaluated the problem and said...no ... it was a loose connection and although the
air conditioner was original and very old , it was still in good working order.. but if the compressor failed
it would be prudent to replace it all. Not only, did he fix the connection but he replaced my holding tank
filter at the same time. The new air conditioner I was told I needed ($2,800.00) was fixed for the price of
a service call. Honest and trustworthy.....worth every penny...and will save you money.

I need to add that Jeff, Bruces employee was courteous, efficient, a wealth of information and small enough
to get into tight places. I would definitely use these fellows again.

I knew that Bruce would do a great job for you....glad it worked out! He does all my A/C work on my boat in Tarpon Point. I'm heading that way on a plane first thing in the morning to try and make sure that I can do what I can to keep everything in one piece when Erika comes through!!!

We are at the Fort Myers Yacht Basin marina....with no props...they won't be ready until Monday.
Stop by for a thankyou cocktail if you have time. It looks like Erika will be a tropical storm vs a hurricane
so the storm surge may be more of a problem then the winds. If you are on a floating dock you should be ok

Actually Erika may be completely gone. We'll see if it reforms.

Glad you posted this, I need service on my salon A/C , I have been looking for someone with a good referral. Lately I have had a few guys do some work on my boat that were an embarrassment to themselves. A monkey could have done a better job on the wood . I should have know better . I'm just finished getting up the drips of varnish he left behind. He charged me 900.00 to do the rail which I thought was not really out of line for a good job, but what I got was a lesson .

Bruce will be down on Monday or Tuesday depending on the weather.

You should be OK at the Yacht basin We are in a pretty protected area You have the two bridges to help break the wind And far enough up river to help out.

We are across the river at Paridise Marina.Plan on Being here till March.I recently got a job at the new WalMart at Estero working in the garden center.2516102611.There in one other Hatt here;Run Away Sue a 44my.

I do love this forum. I'm new here to the Fort Myers Yacht Basin and have lots of work to do on my 43MY. I've got a couple of new A/C controls I may need help with and it's nice to have a good referral. I will probably be needing other referrals soon.
