Thats a long way in a fork tailed doctor killer. Especialy at %45 power. I wonder in 1949 if they thought all space craft would resemble giant dildos.

That is a great post. I liked the "Robot that Takes Phones Messages" "...for up to an hour...on magnetic wire (wire recorders!)."

Then there is the "miniature" recorder AT 10 POUNDS!

The "must we smoke" about pollution in those days. I worked in Detroit at the GM Bldg at W. Grand Blvd and Woodward. There was so much pollution that by the time I walked from the Grand Trunk Railroad Depot to the GM Bldg, that I had to wash my face and hands down with paper towels from all the dirt in the air. Of course that was Detroit's heyday of 2.2M population and massive industrial operations. Chevrolet alone was the world largest mfg. firm. Now Detroit is down to 720k!

Too many articles to remark on, but many great articles in there...time tripping for sure!
