Seeing as how he's by far the biggest social butterfly we've got, added to which he'll be there almost the whole time, I'm gonna suggest we make old Freebird the single point of contact. I've had it highly recommended to me that Friday nights down there are really nice at the floating pubs on the in-water part of the show (Bahia Mar). Saturday, it sounds like, is the off-the-reservation gathering over at Shooter's (waterfront bar on the ICW immediatley south of Oakland Park Blvd) to take in the costume contest. I already told Randy we don't have much trouble making him into a believable St. Bernard. He'd win for sure if he could demonstrate the patented Randy Register BubbaKeg lifesaving swim with a quick dip in the ICW.

Reminder, if you want the most up-to-date list of names, phone #s and days attending, just print out the first post in this thread -- I keep updating it with the info you're all posting.

Just got off the phone with Chris "Boss Lady" and he confirmed he's arriving Thursday by hang glider. Looks like my suggestion of wearing his "Boys In The Hood" t-shirt got him out of jury duty.

Alright you guys, time is growing short, and despite JelloBoy's appointment as primary point of contact, I just haven't spent that much time in FTL.

To that end, somebody with more local knowledge needs to pick a spot for a meeting of the minds. Maybe we could pick a spot and set it up as to say that any interested members should be there at a particular time on Wednesday, Thursday, AND Friday, say around 9ish' to give us time to finish the show and eat dinner. A multi-day event would certainly be easier for all to attend the day of their choice.

As JB pointed out, seems like Shooters would be the place to be on Saturday night. I'm sure I can come up with something creative to wear to the costume party.

I will have to bring some nice clothes since we are staying at one of the high faluten hotel establishments, but the rest of the time I will be slummin' wearing one of my Hawaiian Shirts. Hey Randy, I get on the ground at 6PM I have car laid on. You are invited to the Acqualina Hotel for drinks Thursday, it is in Sunny Isles. Google it for directions. Anyone else gonna be there on Thursday is welcome to come by or if you guys can give me an address to meet we can link up for dinner somewhere else.

I cant make friday night, i will be at the billfish foundation banquet at pier 66. saturday and sunday all day will be for boat lookin and cocktail consumeing. the south entertainment barge is a good watering hole all day long. bigbill

Okay guys, I'm sitting with Al Scarborough, a member of this forum, and he has graciously invited all members to his home for a meet and greet.

He is conveniently located just south of Bahia Mar at 1527 Seabreeze (A1A)
on the right just south of Harbor Beach Pkwy. It is easily recognizable by a yellow stucco wall with the house number attached.

He has instructed me to offer this invitation and says he, like myself, would like to meet as many members as possible. The party will begin at approximately 9pm and will last until?????? His phone number is 954/562-0658.

WARNING!!! This ole' boy is from Mississippi and talks like me. If you can't say "ya'll" or "yon't to?", I will be happy to translate for any geographically challenged member! He has a very nice open air bar area that will accomodate all of us. He is a very gracious Southern gentlemen who was so kind as to stock his bar with Grey Goose for your's truly!
