Finally in the paint booth

First real effort to fit to hull. Once I have glued down the boards I will use a router to trim all edges flush.

This is Great Thread! Really enjoy reading and seeing the work you are doing. Thank you for taking time to post, you do Great work.

I continue to be amazed at your energy level.............certainly no "low T" going on there!

mrdeepseafisher,
I know I don't speak alone when I say this, but we'd love to see how goes the progress on your project. I also realize you are doing a considerable amount of work yourself and at the end of the day, the last thing you want to do is placate to us admirers. However, if/when you are enjoying a beverage and relishing in your accomplishments, I would like to read a few lines about the latest.
I've thoroughly enjoyed what has been done thus far.

Keep the photos flowing.

Boater Bob, I have spoken to Buzzy a couple of times earlier this year. I filled him in on what we are doing but haven't sent him any pics. I was waiting until we got just a bit further along.

Sadly, I haven't had much of a chance to do a lot in the past month or so. Work has gotten really busy and the company doing the work for me has been busy building boats for the summer orders. We had hoped to have the boat back by now but it looks like it will be into the fall before we are done. The wife is a bit upset so much so that she has asked me to buy a "temporary" boat for the summer. Sure, no problem!

I have gotten a bit more of the teak done and completed the ladder to the flybridge modifications. We have the new posts to hold up the dinghy complete and they are tig welded in place. Now we are working on the cantilever arms which will hold the dinghy. I will post a couple pics although they are not great as most were being used for nothing other than checking for plumb, parallelness and such. I am very concerned about making certain that the boat still looks the way it should, I might be a lack-leg but we don't want the boat to be "jack-legged".

Since I haven't been able to get to the boat lately I usually have been polishing more stainless parts. I have fabricated all the parts needed now and I am down to only five pieces left to polish. Boy it takes a lot to get a shine.

got the ladder modified and fabricated a new hand rail. Put it back in place temporarily so we could get to flybridge. Also got the davit post positioned and ready to fit in place. Boy it really makes you pucker up when you start cutting holes in your boat. I ordered a cardboard tube that was the exact diameter as the real post since I cannot handle the real one by myself (too heavy). Got the teak base fabricated and glued in place and the aluminum base plate mounted to the top of the teak base.
