Exhaust manifold pipe

I am looking to help a friend get a replacement cast iron exhaust pipe, the piece beteween the exhaust manifold and the turbo inlet on an 8V92. Is it a dealer part or are there reputable aftermarket suppliers?

Not sure what is wrong with the present part.

Looks like Marine Exhaust in Riviera, FL is not the right source.

Any help is appreciated!

Please let me know. I am looking for the exact same part right now myself. I believe it may be a Detroit part but am not sure.

Its a Detroit part and should not be that hard to find. I've had to buy one before. They are cast iron and after 20 years or so erode from the inside just due to the passage of exhaust gas.

The price on mine was only $173--a new low for anything from Detroit.

They're not that expensive - JLR is about right - I believe I paid $150 for mine, which was 3-4 years ago. I managed to break off a stud trying to remove a turbo, and in attempting to drill out the broken stud the cast iron cracked.

Close inspection revealed that the pipe was severely compromised structurally from 20 years of hot, corrosive exhaust going through it anyway - it was time...... The biggest PITA was that it took nearly 2 weeks to arrive after I ordered it.

When I had DD in my rig, I used to by parts from Palm Beach Power, In FLA. They always had the hard to find DD parts in stock.
