Well we finally got some rain in Southern Calif. and I have a leak in the overhead in my stbd. Engine room. It looked originally like it was coming down a wire from the fly bridge, but it is not. It is comming through the insulation in the overhead and leaking out through screws holes in the wire clamps holding the wire from the fly bridge. Could it possibly be comming from the sliding pilot house door frames? And if it is I have no idea how to confirm this. Any one else had this problem, help!!! John

I understand you're associating the leak with rain. I also had leak in ER overhead of my boat and determined it to be an overflowing AC pan in salon due to algified drain line. The drain line ran in the same chase as cabling from the flybridge.

Put a drop or two of red food color in the track and see if it makes it way to the engine room.

On mine, the deck drain line by the pilot house door runs to the ER. It's wire reinforced vinyl that gets very brittle over time..
