Engine room access 53c ?

Looking at 53 c Hatteras 70’s vintage. Do any of theses boats have cockpit access to engine room? Is there salon access hatches or only way into engine room by lifting staircase between companionway and salon?

Salon hatches in all the ones I've been on.

Access from the cockpit is possible but takes a bit of work to make it.

There is a door under the steps going below. And several salon hatches. One is over the generator as you go in the salon door which makes a good access. The Fuel valves are in the ER the 53c has 3 centerline tanks so there is some fuel management considerations over a single tank or a 2 tank system of equal capacitys.

Exterior access to the ER was the primary reason I went with my 55C. No regrets.

+1 on that. The 50's & 52 have cockpit access as well
