For those who don't want to scroll thru the typical pages of THT static, the interesting post in nr 85

That story is well worth reading though, lots to be learn.

Crash pumps are great but very hard to handle. Standing near a pair of creaming diesels in a wet ER takes some guts...

Particularly in a boat that's rapidly taking on water from the bow.

I'm sure you meant screaming but it does sound like they ended up creaming the boat. Typical THT BS of how everyone who wasn't there would have done things perfectly. I don't fish that area and don't know exact details of the conditions. It sounds like the captain got caught up in the heat of the moment and let the boat get into a bad spot. How many of us have never made a mistake. This one was costly but it was an accident. No different than taking your eye off the road for a second and getting into a car accident. Happens every day.
