Dumb question, galley maid stator

How hard to change other than wrestling with pump mounted under a stair? Really other than tips my big question is I have a couple on the boat that were on board in 2018 when I bought it. Are they worth using or do I need new?

Scott, can you help when over for the other stuff? I’m pretty bad with things in a tight spot.

Very easy. There is a YouTube video you should watch. It gives step-by-step directions on how to change a stater.

Raz Marine does a GREAT job at refurb. When I had the Galley Maids I always kept a complete spare unit and just swapped them out and sent the other unit out to Raz Marine for a full refurb.

Having said that, this is a easy DIY job as well.

Pump buried under 3rd stair. What a pain. Got the stator changed and it was dead heading with motor barely able to turn. Check valve is bad. Need to change.

This was a 4 hour ordeal. Many details left out. I am sore. Why do I have to learn everything the hard way?
