Today in the yard I was rebuilding a sea strainer in the ER while the 20,000 layers of bottom paint were being soda blasted off, and when I came up for a break and looked forward, I saw....a mirror?
Nah, can't be, where's my dinghy? So I went down to investigate, and ......
Turns out Brad (1Hogtow) had his boat hauled while I was crawling around in the ER, and the yard thought we should be together in the "upscale" end of the yard. How nice.
Well, naturally I went right over to check out Brad's boat as I hadn't seen her in person (very pretty boat by the way) and to my surprise realized that 30 years and 3,000 miles from New Bern, our boats now bow-to-bow in the yard have SEQUENTIAL hull numbers!
What are the odds??
I wonder if Brad's hull has as many repaired blisters under the paint as mine turned out to have? If you keep fixing them every time the bottom is painted, and 30 years goes by, there's bound to be a few.
