Hello,
I have a 53MY and am wondering about the two drain holes (ports) located to the sides of the steering helm on the flybridge (on the floor). They are approx 3/4 of an inch in diameter and I am wondering...do those drain ports only exist to allow water to flow from the floor of flybridge (roof over salon) under the helm & seating to then be re-directed out of the drains on the outside of the fly helm housing or....do those drain holes actually feed into some kind of piping or channeling that must be located in the roof above the salon? If that is the case, where does this actually drain out...I have poured water into these little drain holes and can't see it coming out anywhere. I have looked in them with light and put my finger into the drain holes and detect a hole inside of each of them....my concern being that the holes (inside the drain port) don't go anywhere and thus any water going through these little drain ports is getting inside the roof. As I'm re-reading this I'm thinking that this isn't a very good description of what I'm talking about but hopefully someone out there has the same little ports and knows if they are supposed to flow down, into or through the roof of the main salon, or if they are supposed to just act as ports allowing the water to pass through the housing on top of the flybridge and continue out across the top of the roof. Any help appreciated.
