Door Hardware

The Admiral and I are helping our friends refit their 1974 45 hatt and they are looking for replacement hardware (door handles, etc.) for the interior cabin doors that will fit the existing holes. Does anyone have a source and part numbers? Thanks, Mike

I purchased some from West Marine and also I found some on E-Bay. They are not cheap. I also had some repaired at a large lock shop.

Check out Perko's website. www.perko.com they will have almost anything you'll need for door hardware. you can get the part munbers you need and order them from boater's world or the like. also, the retail stores probably have their own brand (whitecap, seafit) similar to perko.

I replaced all the interior locksets with original factory sets from Sam's. Perfect fit since they are the same models. On the early models with the round knobs you may have a problem. Steve Mc. tried years ago to find them for me for an earlier model 43 DC (1973). No luck, but the newer style with the lever handles are available. I don't really remember for sure if they will fit the same openings in the doors, but I am certain Steve will be able to tell you.
