Hatteras Model
43' DOUBLE CABIN (1970 - 1984)
My buddy docked next to me is planning on taking his boat down to S.Fla for the Super Bowl. His is a 41' Silverton (he's an ex NFL player from the late 60' "Boston Patriots" but he is a Packer fan first then the Bears).

Anyone know of any dockage that might be available? (hint hint Pascal and Angie).

He went with us on our boat when Jacksonville hosted the S.B. a few years ago as I "won" a free slip downtown for the week of the game...(free dockage for the week vs the $5,000-$15,000 other slips went for)

i doubt it... a friend of mine called my marina to get a slip this week end and had to insist... they were saying they were not taking any reservation because of the superbowl and the boat show.

when is superbowl ?

anchoring out is a good alternative if he has a good dinghy...

My neighbor whom I call "Mr. SeaRay" has had his boat out of the slip since early November - I'm told he's back at the dealer for warranty repair items. Geez, I'm starting to wonder what happened, but it's a SeaRay, so anything's possible!

The two slips next to me....assuming Mr. SeaRay won't be back any time soon, it's empty; the next one down is still being paid for (I asked about it just last week), but the boat's been gone for months. I hear that that guy lives in the Keys and keeps that slip just for a place to land during a storm. I can ask the dockmaster about transient dockage on those two slips.

The 41' Silverton can fit into the smaller slips on the other side and deeper into the marina, though I don't see any empty ones at the moment.

For how long (what days) is your friend looking?

I will see John tonight.

I think he would want 7-10 days. And it can be anywhere from Pompano Beach south to your area.

PLUS it will depend on the Bears making it to the Super Bowl !!

A very good chance I'll help bring the boat down as the W.P.B-Miami area is my "old stomping grounds". :p

As your friend's luck would have it, Mr. SeaRay just now returned home after such a long time in the yard, BUT.....one of my dockmates is moving his 65' motorsailor out of his slip to the yard for about a month beginning Jan. 29. His slip would be available, and he would rent it out. If your friend is interested, I can hook the two of them up to work out the details.

Pascal, the Superbowl is Feb. 4. The Miami Boat Show is Feb. 15-19.
